Discovery or direct IP

Bonjour finds the server on a normal LAN. Saved IP, MagicDNS or Tailscale addresses cover segmented and remote networks.

Local access control

Run open, use one shared password, or create named users with PINs. Credentials and configuration stay on the server Mac.

Low latency by design

10 ms audio frames travel over a local UDP media plane. Clients mix locally; only configured hardware outputs are mixed on the server.

Need to reach the hub from outside the building? Enter the server Mac's Tailscale address in the client. The VPN carries the same native TCP and UDP connection; Oclin operates no relay service.

Questions, answered.

Does Liink need an internet connection?

No. The server, clients, credentials and live media can stay entirely on your LAN. Internet access is only needed for app installation or if you choose to use a third-party VPN such as Tailscale.

What is paid, and what is free?

Liink Server is the paid macOS hub. The Liink clients for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android are free companion apps, with no per-seat subscription. Final store pricing will be announced at launch.

Which device can run the server?

Only the dedicated Liink Server app for macOS hosts a system. Keeping the server on a Mac provides the Core Audio, capture-card, storage and incoming-network capabilities needed for production hardware. iPhone, iPad, Android and the free Mac app are clients only.

Does the Android client have the same intercom features?

Yes. The native Android phone and tablet client uses the same signaling, audio and video protocol as the Apple clients, including channels, PTT, listen-line levels and assigned video feeds.

Can I route individual channels on an audio interface?

Yes. A listen line can use a specific Core Audio input, such as input 1 or 2, and a talk channel can be mixed to a selected physical output. Multiple logical routes and multiple audio devices can run at the same time.

Which video inputs are supported?

Liink Server supports normal webcams and UVC capture interfaces through AVFoundation, plus native Blackmagic DeckLink capture. Multi-input DeckLink cards expose each active subdevice as an independent source when configured in the appropriate Desktop Video profile.

Can a client send video to an external display?

Yes. On Mac, iPhone and iPad, and compatible Android devices, choose one assigned video listen line for full-screen output to a connected display using the device's supported USB-C or HDMI connection. Intercom controls remain on the client, and Liink outputs one selected video line at a time.

Where is my data stored?

Server configuration is stored on the server Mac. Live audio and video are forwarded between your own devices and are not recorded or sent to Oclin. See our privacy policy.
